I am having problems editing the essence in Nightingale. I am able to edit the 2 values I'm left with, BUT I can't get to drop it to make it actually dupe once I've edited the values.

If I try to upgrade without dropping it first to dupe it, as it happens in Nightingale without dropping anything when you change the values, it'll make it impossible to use the item.

Does anyone know how to actually do it so it works?

I found myself in the same situation. The essence could very well be maintained on a server.

Thing is, I've seen people claim the essence editing has worked for them with screenshots and whatnot, even offering to visit the world and just drop a load of essence, so yeah, idono, hope someone can clear that out

I can confirm that these value's ARE SERVER SIDE, and the amount your character pick's up is added to the server from your local machine value update.

Now as for me I been using the trainer more than Cosmos for this title.
So you do need to drop the object you edit so the server side value updates and validates your edit back to your character's server profile value.

I plan to test this further but did some-one find the value's Random or an actual ID?

Are you attempting to edit the T1 for the quest "Complete Encounters to Claim T1 Essence"

Because I got an address value but can't drop any of the essence once I did edit the value.

No, I'm trying to acquire an unlimited amount of T2 essence(Sort of).

Basically, I find the values by dropping one to the ground, then searching for the new value with (ExactValue), and I can find it easily, but then I run into the same problem, I can't drop the essence. The original value gets fixed once I pick up another, but I can't drop it so it "updates" to clone.

So at this point I assume Essesce is completely server sided and the same old dropping items trick doesn't applies here unfortunately and it would be the best to wait for the official offline release of the game so I could properly train it, no essence editor until offline release of the game.
