I know you say that it's meant to be used only in private, but is this due to the fact if you play with strangers you might be reported or some other reason?
What if I play with a friend who doesn't mind and I know for a fact that I won't be reported?

Furthermore, if I play with aforementioned friend and I use the max resource cheat, since all the players in the group get the same amount, will my friend also get the resources?

We cannot answer your questions about what happens if you do XY of the trainer in multiplayer. Not only because we don't support this at all, we also cannot guarantee what will happen, so we simply don't know.

Your friend may not report you but his copy of the game that is unmodified could do so and whatever information that's reported from his side could be traced back to you.

Bro, please also consider CH's position that the trainer is justified because we are only using it for our own personal use. If we extend it to multiplayer, regardless of who it is with, it just gives the dev even more grounds to clamp down even harder. Let's not push our luck because of greed.
