It's been doing great and had no problem until yesterday night; somehow, I'm not 100% sure whether updates for Windows 11 Pro are causing this problem or anti-cheat was installed on my computer without my knowledge. However, after updates were installed, they rebooted, and it no longer works for some reason. Plus, I already reviewed the event but didn't see an error from this program, so I already removed that update... I don't know any way to resolve this problem. I do support anti-cheat for multiplayer online, but I don't support anti-cheat for solo players offline, and for myself, I need a cheat to help me beat some games that my disabilities limited me from being able to play fully with the controller / keyboard / mouse... I hope you understand what I mean... Thank you for your time!

Sorry, but we have no idea why this would be happening. It appears that something with Windows (or your video driver possibly) is corrupted.

Unfortunately, I already checked with video cards... I tested each three GPUs, and they're doing fine, so we're right now focusing on what's going on with updates, let me give you a list of updates:

Security Update for Microsoft Visual C++ 2010 Service Pack 1 Redistributable Package (KB2565063) installed by 1/18/24

Security Intelligence Update for Microsoft Defender Antivirus - KB2267602 (Version 1.403.2376.0) - Current Channel (Broad) installed by 1/18/24

    Before that,
Cumulative Update for Windows 11 Insider Preview (10.0.22635.3061) (KB5034215) installed by 1/16/24

My question is... does your program depend on C++? or .Net framework? or Both?

On 16, after the update, I rebooted, and that program is doing fine as before. But we need to know what and why. Plus, we need to figure out where that came from right after these windows got updates on 18 and rebooted; that is where the problem started.

Thanks. This info may help you and your customers who may have problems like I do...

Yes, the app has .NET dependencies. So far we have not had any other reports of any Windows updates causing issues with the software. However you are apparently running a Preview/Beta version of Windows which we obviously don't support so there is no telling what might have happened. LMK if you nail it down.

Any kind of crash is written to the event viewer of windows. No crash but program's process disappears from task manager means it got terminated by another software. In which case the exit code of Aurora's process should also be non-zero.

You said it no longer works which isn't exactly clear. Do you see at least the login screen? You can also try and uninstall the Windows updates. Aurora has a dependency on .NET Framework (but this only matters after the login screen) and a dependency on C++.

Maybe the updates have broken something on your computer. Try and run "sfc /scannow" in terminal and let Windows figure it out.

No, it didn't disappear from task mgr because it was running in the background, plus, the icon on the nearby clock/date is still running and didn't freeze at all but didn't show up on the desktop; plus, I will go ahead and do SFC and see what it said...
0x09, I noticed you didn't see my post with the attachment, which I already showed you proof of how it was behaving...

Just to add to what 0x90 said, you can also try DISM as I was having a nagging issue with my PC for weeks and when I finally ran that it actually fixed a problem that SFC did not find and now my PC is running fine again.

Sorry I missed the screenshot. Hold down the SHIFT key when you open Aurora and it will show a couple of messageboxes. When it asks to launch with DEFAULT settings choose 'yes'. See if that helps.

If not repeat the steps with holding shift and this time wait for the message about disabling hardware acceleration then choose yes.
