Given the possible problems with secondary objectives and not being able to loot from being full, it's probably better to freeze the medkits/tech/xeno/supplies/sentries rather than max them.
We added option you can set the value to 0 if you want.
Has anyone managed to get the XP and Promotions working? If so, could you run me through how you did it, I know I'm doing something wrong but can't figure out what.
I made a post, maybe two, and so did others. Look through the postings.
best,

I had and tried to follow yours and others instructions as closely as possible but the perks still seem to break. Whittie28's idea might work but am going to wait for the update coming next week before I try it.
Bear with me as I want to help but it maybe a long post. So the perk/promotions options are tied dependently to levels. You cannot give more than 9 promotions to a level 10 marine or else it would break the game as the game was not intended for a max level marine to have more than 9 promotions therefore you need to be aware of how much promotion you give when setting the marines level. For example following Pwizard instruction its best when you used it on a new level 1 marine setting them to level 10 and putting in 9 promotions.
Here is when things get messy, if you have an already level 3 marine and you want to put it to level 10 then put in 7 in the promotions option, as 2 of the promotion was already unlock. Putting in the correct number of promotion into the correct number level is a must if you don't want the game to break.
But I want to share another way to level up to 10, the friendlier less tendency breaking method. You just need to use the XP editor options and can use it early when you first arrive in deadhills. During the mission just open up map display and go to squad recap category once its available.
There choose the marine and edit their XP number to 90. I analyze the number and 90 is the maximum point needed to reach level 10.
Some marine with bad luck trait will need 91 point as their trait will deduct 1 point on extraction.
Once you are done giving them 90 point in XP, just simply extract via ARC to base and the point will be updated and put into effect. Tada you just level 4 of the first marine you use to level 10. (not counting the marine in tutorial level)
But then you say what about the other marine in reserve, well simply follow Pwizard instruction when in base. Choose the selected marine in Barrack and give them all one by one 90 XP.
Then bring them to Mission and Extract back to base to put the points into effect.
A bit tedious but when you clear 2nd map as one previous poster mention, you will unlock the training function. Those that you edited their XP to 90 but have not yet bring into mission, can simply put them into training and just click on next day and their new XP point will be in put into effect.
Hope this helps you and for others, and thank you Caliber and other trainer contributor for the the XP point editor. As the person that put in the XP wishlist option, I love it so please dont remove it if too many people complain or dont work for them cuz it definitely works for me 😥 but I dont mind if you pull the Level and Promotion Left editor as I dont need them 😁 hehe.

Sorry for multiple post but as I have been familiarizing with the game for a few days now. I think I may have found or theorize another reason for the game breaking. So when using the level and promotion options you may have actually skip your promotion to choose your class on level 3. Some perks/attribute are tied to class and don't appear until you choose your class especially the class upgrade that you buy with materials. Since you are classless in lvl 1 and you open up the perk/upgrade/attribute option meant for lvl 4 to 10 that have class but you still haven't chosen a specific class yet it gets wonking and the game cant decide what available upgrade options to show or not and break the game maybe? Just a thought. If all else fail with level and promotion left editor, just use the XP editor and follow my instruction in previous post.
Mild spoiler
There is a late game mission that gets stuck no matter what in:
'DETECTED
Queen Encounter'
This prevents you from looting a critical item after completing all objectives with the text:
'Narrative actions can't be performed while enemies are in the area'
It is stuck thinking the first statement is true yet it is resolved (without spoiling too much).
I also noticed that if an optional objective yields materials or xeno you can not complete it. You have to return to the mission without the trainer on and launch on a new day. I love the trainer, but this bug I have repeated several times trying different approaches and you can not advance. Since it is a story critical mission and a room that does not open until you complete it the game is stuck.
So there is a little work around to this, dont access the queen straight away go through the door for the marlow scene "spoiler" access the terminal then on the destruct sequence head to the queen and use the easy kill then collect the gene once done head to the elevator and should all be good its really time based but can be done. Hope this helps it gets a bit frantic with the alarm going off
Game Crashes all the Time when after activating Trainer while game is running and aktivate one funktion, no matter what funktion. The Game crashes right after aktivating it.
Hi MrHide85,
have you tried activating the trainer at the main menu like the Readme suggests?
