This exact same thing happened to me as well. I can't sign in with my account on 2k's website at all. No warning whatsoever.

Trainer no longer works. Game shuts down immediately upon opening the trainer, and attempting to launch the game using the trainer sends you to 2K's website's terms and conditions page - "ermagerd no cheating in single player!!!111!!!!"

Please don't retire this.

Holy crap! I am getting the 'Code of Conduct Page' too! I thought I had been banned!

I even sent a ticket into to 2K asking for clarification. They wrote back saying they weren't sure why and wanted more info.

Thankfully, by closing Aurora completely, I did find myself able to get in. I played it off saying 'Maybe just a glitch. Sorry! Haha! ^_^;'

Not sure if they did anything on their end or Aurora was being detected somehow. We please need clarification if any future Trainer will be safe for use or if their anti-cheat software is getting too intense. I don't even PvP!

2K sports specifically has targeted our trainers and our all in one app aurora. You can go to them and complain. The trainer didn't even work online.

Until they remove this anti cheat targeted at mods and trainers and specifically OUR trainers, then the game is retired.

As Caliber said, just STARTING the game with AURORA running, or running AURORA after game is started will cause it to be detected. So the game is retired for now. We may go back and work with it when we see a possibility to do so , but for now it's dead.

The fact that they were able to target Aurora and your content directly is sort of unnerving however.

Will other games and gaming companies be able to replicate what 2K has done? Should we be 'conservative' with trainer use across the board for a time in other games as well?

We ran into this many times over the years. Most companies don't worry about this. The ones who create games most exclusively to try and have multiplayer PVP games are cracking down more and more. Sports games are notorious for it.

Game trainers and being able to use trainers with games isn't going anywhere.

How to address it, there isn't many ways for the end user.. other than write a message to the companies or simply don't buy their software anymore if they refuse to let you run programs or modify things in your own PC at realtime in memory. They take control of your computer and refuse to let you have it back. And you agreed to it.
