Infinite HP does not work if you afflicted with the poison status effect.

PSA: be careful with the unlimited items, you can get stuck in the game. I couldn't get rid of Black Crystals and so could not progress further into the game as you cannot sell these or drop them and you need to collect them from people.
Be sure to save multiple different saves at various points just in case.
