Well 2022 was yet another year of disappointment from bad to terrible games..
For me the best year of pc gaming was 2003, I was a freshly a discharged soldier and I tasted freedom in the best way:
NFS Underground
DF- Black hawk down
GTA Vice city
I.G.I.-2: Covert Strike
WARCRAFT III: THE FROZEN THRONE
Age of Mythology
C&C Generals
Call of duty 1

What year was the best of pc gaming for you guys?

2019 when RDR2 came out for PC. Never enjoyed a story and characters so much.

Well, for me it has to be 1998., when Fallout 2 was released; my favourite game of ALL time!

And also Half-Life, Starcraft+Brood War, Grim Fandango, Baldur's Gate and Thief: The Dark Project; all games (plus above mentioned Fallout 2) that revolutionized respected genres and are played in some ways (original, sequels, remasters, remakes, fan mods) until nowadays.

Plus, I was fifteen at the time, just started high school and time to play games were aplenty! 😉

2022 was "disappointing" for me because several high profile releases I was looking forward to were delayed, such as starfield and company of heroes 3. On the flip side, 2023 is going to be so jam packed(with Diablo 4 thrown into the mix) that I won't have time for all of them. Not that I have the money for all of them in the first place, lol! 😭

Yup RDR2 is a masterpiece especially when it comes to open world games, glad you enjoyed it. I'm still savoring it slowly.

Starcraft 1&2 are both insane games, sadly enough they don't support UW monitor so I kinda abandoned them...

I know this is an old post but RD2 was an amazing game I agree. RD2 gave me tons of hours of play and i dont think i played another game that got me like RD2 did until Elden Ring.
