BIG UPDATE:
Ok after testing there are a couple ways to get the game working with Aurora from Cheathappens, No hacking, but you have to load the trainer first and then load the game via Aurora or via right clicking on the steam icon. If you run it via the play button in the steam UI, you get the message about "A program used for game exploration..."

Also I cannot get any of the hot keys to work, so I am having to Alt+Tab to turn on and off options or use the phone app to activate the trainer and turn any options on. Finally if you close the trainer while in the game, Midnight Suns crashes.

I tried this and I still get the error. I still have to click play from the 2K launcher. Did the user point Aurora to a different executeable that does not bring up the 2k Launcher?

Were there any special permissions they ran it with?

Sorry, that was the entire post. You can search for it at Steam and maybe PM them. We are still working on internal solutions and not getting very far. The game devs have spent more time on protecting this single player game from cheats and mods than on game content for who knows why.

Thanks will take a peak at steam and see if I can get any more information. Appreciate you sharing and hope you all are able to work some magic. In all honesty the fact it had a trainer is the only reason I bought it lol.

Ich kann zwar den Trainer starten, aber wenn ich auf den Spiele-Button klicke bekomme ich einer Fehlermeldung. Ich habe das Game neu installiert, keine Änderung. Alle anderen Spiele laufen mit Aurora nur Midnight Suns nicht.

Im taking a guess that since there are microtransations for cosmetics that they are buckling down on the anti cheat so people cannot bypass purchasing the currency to get said cosmetics.

Yeah it's the premium currency Eclipse coins that can't be earned in any way in the game/are exclusively used in the shop that is causing this aggressive anti cheat ****. I'm super bummed out as like a few others mentioned, I got the game because there was a trainer, I love xcom style games in theory but I'm really terrible at them, and I also love Marvels supernatural stories =P Hopefully the amazing folks here can figure something out, but is understandable if they are gonna get aggressive to protect their precious alternate costumes
