Subject in Short: Use inclusive and accurate terminlogy
Full Details (As much information as possible): In the setting for the type of voice, the term "sex" is used, but the correct term in this context should be "gender".
Sex and gender are not the same thing (this is not just my opinion, every reputable scientist, including WHO is saying this). Sex is biological, it is about what chromosomes people were assigned at birth, nothing more. Gender is a social construct, it is about the characteristics associated with being male, female, or another gender.
In this case, you are only using "male" and "female" to determine whether the voice has a masculine or feminline tone. This has nothing to do with biological sex. A person could be assigned male at birth but have a female-sounding voice (or vice versa).
For this reason, I request that the term "sex" be changed to "gender" so that it is in line with the latest science and more inclusive to everyone in your community.

I put it nowhere on my list. Keep political stuff out of gaming especially out of CH. Everyone knows what this setting is supposed to mean, there is no real offense in it. Everyone who fills disrespected can talk to me in privat. But we do not participate in any kind of political trends, this or that way.

I judge about personality, not gender / sex / origin / religion political attitude. So, Aurora does, so all tools I've developed or worked at do. If you think different, talk to me in privat. But if you force me to adapt your public preferences to take a specific side, I won't.

I would like to include that we are not referring to the user, only a VOICE. I don't believe the voice cares about which terminology we use.

Not saying this is something that should change but just a thought IF anything to do with voice options was ever changed or updated maybe just referring to them as voice 1 and voice 2.

I know you can't always please some people and a debate could then happen about which is 1 and which is 2 but this seems to be how a lot of video games are going with voice options, never stating sex or gender just giving options.

Again, not saying this is something that should change, just a suggestion for IF CH ever did want to make a change.

Do just want to add that I think it's a nice touch that CH even gives us an option here, the software works exactly the same regardless of the voice so there is no need to give any of us an option and yet we've been given one, CH have gone above and beyond in terms of providing an option which is great!

As an actual trans person. This is the stupidest hill you could pick to die on.

It's a robot, it has no gender. It's a voice that says activated or deactivated. There is no reason to go political and try to correct something that literally nobody cares about

Apparently the user was trans and he/she decided to terminate their account with us based on 0x90's answer, but I totally agree with Ally here. We have the utmost respect for a person's decision to identify with whatever gender they choose but like Ally said, this is a VOICE, a computer generated one at that and not a PERSON which would be a whole different conversation. Anyways, user is gone so thread is closed before we go down a rabbit hole that is completely unnecessary and has nothing to do with game trainers.
