    Hello,
If I am missing a way to deactivate a trainer after activating without closing Aura, I apologize but I cannot find how to do that after looking through the help, boards, or googling. Also I am not talking about the stand legacy stand alone trainers, only the online ones built into Aura.

Basically I would like to be able to turn a trainer off without closing Aura. This would let me close out of Unity games without having to close Aura, and then open it again to launch into another game. Also it would let me trouble shoot if there was a problem with my game (like a version update) vs. if its the trainer more easily. I just find myself wishing for this every time I switch from Pathfinder WOR to another game, or if PWOR decides to glitch and I need to get out of it.

Sure, this is easy to do. When you are running a trainer in Aurora, there is an "X" on the top left side which will deactivate and close that trainer out. If you do that before closing your game, it tends not to crash the game when you try and close it and the trainer is still attached.

Thank you! I missed that, because I though it was related to search. It was bugging me I have Minimize to Tray on Close set (love the option), I was having to go find it and then close it a 2nd time.

Now I just need to figure out why it does not autostart. I run my own Windows domain, and am sure its a problem with my group policy or something else (like selective start) and just have never dug into why no load on boot.

Autostart can be turned on in Aurora settings. It sets a registry key under Current_User\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run

You can also easily move a shortcut of Aurora to autostart folder in start menu or add a registry key in local machine path if current user isn't working.

Thanks for the registry location, and it was the darn default group policy strikes again.

Basically when I first setup my server I made one object that had all my users and computers in it, and made 2 polices for that object. This included a policy that mad sure all domain users had public mapped drive + a personal mapped drive and one for having local admin rights.

I then spent the next 12 hours trying to figure out why every login on every computer lost their admin rights (even the local ones) on reboot. Turned out a default group policy that turns off local admin rights for all users and some of there fun stuff was on by default.

I edited the hell out of it and disabled it, only to have it come back after updating my server's OS. So I made sure my group policies take precedent over it, but it was blocking Aura from editing the registry. This is why I have been to lazy to fix the auto start....that and the fun of how deep Win 10 burred the startup folder. I have to google or spend 30 min digging every time because I need it so rarely (and keep remembering win 7).

Oh and the Win 10 startup folder for those looking is at:
    C:\Users\[UserID]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup

Well I am stumped, and am going back to just loading Aura after I log in. And yes I have had "Run Aurora when my computer starts" checked the whole time.

    What I tired:
I got the Registry entry in (and made sure nothing ate it) and nothing on login or reboot (I have fast startup disabled)

So I crammed a shortcut that works into path in: C:\Users\[UserID]\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup. Nothing on login on reboot.

I then disabled UAC, because it does ask if I want to run Aura every time. No change.

Found C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp and crammed the shortcut there. Nothing on login on reboot.

Then I stuffed a text file in both the startup folders I found, and only C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp loaded the text file. So that works, but not to load the Aura shortcut.

Next I thought maybe having Aura under my C:\Users\[loginID]\Cheathappens as causing the issue. So I copied the folder to C:\Program Files\Cheathappens and made sure Aura loaded. I then updated the registry path and shortcut under C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp to point to the new file location (and I copy + pasted the path not to fat finger it). Nothing on login on reboot.

PS current working (but not to load on boot) shortcut location, path, and registry entry:
    C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\StartUp\
    "C:\Program Files\Cheathappens\Aurora.exe"
    [see attached photo]

P.S. Every other program in my registry screen shot does auto-load. And yes I have 32GB of ram they can live in. ;-)

Have you tried deleting your Aurora global settings folder and then re-creating it and checking the start at login in Misc settings?

    That folder is C:\Users\[USERNAME]\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\Aurora

Just delete the entire Aurora folder.

I deleted the folder (well moved it to my desktop) and launched aurora to get it logged in. After that I closed it and rebooted my computer, it did not launch on start up.

Also this what the Misc options looked like right after I logged in, and I did not change any of them prior to the reboot. In the past I have also unchecked "Run Aurora when my computer starts" and deleted that folder to fix other issues.
