Interesting quandary for some users with older PC, since all of my PC have the ability to run the original .exe's with the advanced instructions, which the game seems to detect that and auto force runs those .exe

I am not sure how to update a trainer for non-advanced instructions PC's when I cannot launch the game with those .exe's and test.

trainer is up to date and working as intended. The non-advanced .exes that they added I cannot launch them on my PC at the moment, FYI.

I've used the trainer for this game before with no problem. Everything is updated, all files are current, game files are current. For some reason the trainer cannot find game message happens everytime I try to activate now.

Almost same here. U4 variant of the trainer activates properly in U4 but TLL variant of the trainer gives me „cannot find game" in The Lost Legacy.

I would suggest putting in an update request

Just a heads up that posts with issues here and not update requests, don't get looked at. Help yourselves and others by putting in that update request if the trainer is running into issues.

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.

the trainer was tested here is what the trainer monkey has found
"upon first activation, trainer fails to find game. upon closing and reopening the trainer, trainer finds game and works normally"

Is that with 1.5.7 of Aurora?

it was checked with 1.5.7(preview)

Checked it, its a bug in Aurora.
