Just checked, the data on the trainer through Aurora is 10/11, same as in CH online.

If you're worried about losing some items because 99 isn't enough - open a chest, grab 1 piece, close the chest, activate Unlimited Items and deactivate after you check the numbers have changed. Throw the new items into the chest, rinse and repeat.
yes, I've thought about that solution AFTER all my items are gone from the backpack 😆
And it's less of an issue compared to my missing tools - I only have 1 sword, 1 pickaxe and 37 axes now, all other tools are gone and I don't know where or how to re-acquire them 😢

will the new update be able to restore the items I've lost because of the previous glitch? As another user previously mentioned, the tools aren't something we're able to currently re-acquire, neither from crafting nor purchasing in shops

No it’s just a fix to prevent it from happening again.
