Hi guys. I have been hearing about EA's new PC App for a bit now, and am a little concerned. I read an article that it has officially been released today, and Origin will be retired. What do you guys think about this? I am concerned because I still have games on Origin, and also use Trainers with those games (Dead Space 1-3, Mass Effect Andromeda, etc.). Has anyone on here tried the new EA App with Trainers made for Origin games? Thoughts and help appreciated 🙂

That is an excellent question as obviously we have a ton of games on Origin. Technically, as long as they are not changing the games themselves, the trainers should still work, but please do let us know.

Ok guys, here is where I am at: I tested Origin Trainers for Dead Space 1 and 2 through the new EA App, and they seem to work so far! 🙂
I will test further tonight with those games, as well as try Mass Effect Andromeda with Origin Trainer as well. Just a heads up though: When you go to install the EA App, it will uninstall Origin. Hope this info helps you guys! 🙂

Good stuff. BTW, why is Dead Space listed as a new game on my console(s)? Are they re-releasing it? New game? No clue. Loved the first game tho.

Dead Space 1 is being remade, a new game releasing in January. On the EA App, the original Dead Space has "2008" next to the name.

Where did you read about Origin being retired? There is nothing on their homepage at www.origin.com/usa/en-us/store

The EA Play app has been around for a while now.

When I started Origin this week I got a banner that said something like "Origin will be retired this year, switch to the EA App".
