    Hello people,

I've been here on the platform for a really long time now.
A few months ago, "LIFETIME OF LIFETIME PLUS" was offered, which should have been quite limited and restricted at that time.

Now I'm back on the site and see that "LIFETIME OF LIFETIME PLUS" is available for purchase again, only this time there are 2 million REWARD CREDITS (RC) and a CH HOODIE on top.
Of course I would never leave this platform, also because I am now a Lifetime Lifetime Member, but I still feel a bit hoodwinked.

    Regards.

Every store in the world has sales and BOGO and all kinds of promotions all the time. Just because one may be better than what you got, it doesn't mean you got "hoodwinked". Next month it will be a new bundle. Also, wasn't the money supposed to help support the site in the first place?

I would like to add my two cents in reference to your statement. I’m a user of CH just like you.

When the Kickstarter made its debut, it was a great time for many of us. Not only was a new AIO app in reach, but the perks associated with the upper tier(s) were a worthwhile grab as it pulled a lot of the right strings too including Lifetime of Lifetime Plus.

But, it was smack up against the holiday season as well. Wallets were being stretched. Anyone with families put their families first. The tier 7 price tag could otherwise fund gifts for many loved ones. Then comes January and credit card statements come pouring out.

IMHO, extending the Backerkit is a wise business move.

[1] It allowed cash strapped users to get the big ticket items they initially wanted.
[2] Others very likely took advantage of various items. Purchasing more RC’s and spins for example.
[3] And probably one of the biggest perks which comes out of the extended Backerkit sale—development funding.

Programmers are not cheap and specialized ones cost even more. What we’re getting in return is not some shabby band aided app, it’s some solid workmanship.

Regarding your second point, on a personal level I understand where you’re coming from. But, I can’t tell you how many times I’ve bought items (software included) only to have it discounted six months to a year later and that doesn’t even include “fire sales”. Games are a perfect example.

From a business perspective, the discount makes perfect sense. Like any For-Profit business, sales and/or services are your lifeblood. Factor in high inflation, fuel costs, and higher living expenses to name a few, consumers (clients) are faced with less disposable income which equals less sales.

Again, only my opinion, so please take for what it’s worth.

For mw the deal I got when I got the top tier deal for the fundraising was a win win kind of situation. I got the lifetime plus of lifetime sub a million credits and Cheat Happens gets a lot of well needed funding so they can keep doing what they do so well. I'm very happy with all that.

New offers don't retrospectively make old offers misleading, something was advertised at a specific price and that is what was offered, now something else is being advertised at a specific price and that is now what is being offered.

Ultimately whenever anyone buys anything they are agreeing to buy the item advertised at the price it's advertised and I think they should be aware that at a future date the same product might be offered at a different price or the product might get replaced for a different one.

I'm not trying to sound unsympathetic to the OP, I can understand feeling a bit disappointed if you'd only recently purchased the lifetime of lifetime plus and now there is a better offer but you did get what you were offered at the price quoted, I think it's unfair to say you were mislead.
