The DLC is part of the season pass. Does this mean you are not going to include season pass owners in any updates, such as with Far Cry 5/6?

It depends. Most of the time the trainer for the base game also works with the DLC. The issue is that if we upgrade to the DLC then we may no longer be able to update the base game, only the DLC so everyone without the DLC will be screwed.

you can put in a trainer request to have the DLC versions in a separate trainer

Resolved the issue, but the resolution is weird. I decided to test it using Vulkan instead of DX12. Trainer now works as expected. Not sure why switching from one graphics API to another made the trainer magically work, but... okay.

It's likely that one of the API's shifts the memory locations of the game code slightly, especially seeing how they implement different features for different APIs. My best guess.
