Aurora Features Requests Discussion

TBH I think I overlooked the heart outline like 8 times, and when I first was looking to add one as a favorite, I was looking at the game trainer listing for a way and couldn't find it. Originally thought there was no way to do it.

I would suggest adding the favorite icon to the 'trainer list' screen (after you select the game, but before you select a specific trainer). That seemed to me the most intuitive place to place it, and was where I first was looking. I actually had to read another thread on this forum where someone mentioned it before I found the heart icon.

I would say move it to where it's next to "key points of interaction". ie: the user *has* to hit the 'activate trainer' button, so it should be next to that button. On the trainer listing, put it next to the offline save button. Right now, it's tucked in the corner, in a relatively unimportant part of the screen on the RIGHT while all the features people will interact with is on the LEFT.

I would tend to agree with you other than the fact that we are already using the "heart" icon on that screen for the trainer rating which could be confusing. Perhaps a different icon? Also, I believe another reason we put it on the actual trainer page is so that the user is sure to favorite the right trainer as that is how the favorites work is to take you back to that specific trainer and not that specific title. Also, on the trainer page is where the other functions live like add to tracked titles, expand/collapse trainer view, etc. We will have to see what 0x90 thinks.

Putting it on the trainer listing, I agree, it's not ideal. But on the specific trainer page, my feedback is to just put the favorite (and perhaps the notification) to the left, near the 'Activate Trainer' button. Currently where they are is more what I would consider to be the 'minor utility' section, where most users probably aren't really going to be interacting with anything. Meanwhile on the left is all kinds of interesting stuff to push.

No problem, will definitely consider. We started off with just one icon on that page then we kept adding more requested features.

In 1.2.2 favorites are more obvious now to new users.
