Long-time user; apologies if this has been answered elsewhere - I found nothing in the post/thread.

Simply - I recently reinstalled Elden Ring (on a clean Windows install), launched game once, set to Offline, quit. Downloaded Aurora, navigated to Elden Ring trainer, downloaded/installed offline *.exe, restarted game, navigated to main menu, hit F1 and trainer said, "TRAINER ACTIVATED"...then froze.

I tried this again several times, in various fashions (launched game first, launched trainer first, activated from within game, activated from desktop, activated from trainer), all with the same results: "TRAINER ACTIVATED", then freeze.

This is the first problem I've had with *any* of your trainers (serious kudos, guys - sincerely), so I'm still not sure I'm not doing something wrong on my end.

Any ideas? Do you need any files/more info from me?

It dosen't work for me either im in the same situation. 😕

Did you follow the instructions EXACTLY?

1. Set game in offline mode, in game options: System > Network Settings > Launch Setting > 'Play Offline'
2. Place the attached file (start_protected_game.exe) in the same folder of Eldenring.exe. In a normal steam installation that folder is 'C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\ELDEN RING\Game'. There is already such a file, if you are getting asked whether to overwrite it click on 'Yes'.
3. Launch the game through Steam

Yes, sir - as described in my email. After the first setup & fail (freeze), I went back to follow all the trouble-shooting steps *exactly*, then (also) tried different combinations thereof.

Again - I'm not discounting the possibility that I may be at fault here, but...I have been (and currently still am) using other trainers from CheatHappens (both standalone trainers + via Aurora) without issue.

So...I don't know. 😔

Hey, I uninstalled my game and reinstalled the game. followed the steps exactly. replaced the file alt and tabbed everything. When I try to activate trainer it says "trainer activated and then the Aurora program freezes. the game is fine but the Aurora freezes.

SO i tried, as soon as i heard trainer activated i clicked god mode and it turned on god mode before aurora froze. I then could play the game with god mode on but no other functions would work due to aurora being frozen. so mabe you can play game with one option activated if you click it fast after hearing trainer activated. So i really think there is something wrong with the trainer. 😕

Just curious, but what version of Aurora are you using? If it's 1.3.5 then that is the issue and you need to rollback to 1.3.4 or up to 1.3.6.

Umm...as Aurora has auto-updated literally EVERY time I've started it, I had no *idea* that we could rollback, or manually update. 😮

I am, indeed, on v1.3.5 - how does one manually update (or rollback, for that matter)?

You can just re-download Aurora from the Trainers page as it has 1.3.4 or you can check preview versions in your settings and it will auto-download 1.3.6 (which will be released tomorrow out of preview mode to the main channel). There was a bug in 1.3.5.
