So after speaking with Pwizard and 0x90

I figured I would compile what we have so far into a new thread since the old one was Locked out.

Very good, thank you. Any examples you can provide will help tremendously. Kill switches are typically found in VPN software.

The only thing I could imagine is that AIO just disables all network adapters.

    -----------===========------------------
So as per the emails we can get the functionality of the internet kill switch, but it might be tricky to get the Mobile app to Work with it once it's been Enabled.

Perhaps if we try testing around with the Gateway configurations to allow for it to still try and access the mobile app on LAN but to kill the WAN connection's?

Because I know if we set it up to configure the Adaptor to Gateway 127.0.0.1 as per the standard Look-back IP address.

I know as a Broadcaster having this Feature would be Nice when I am broadcasting live but it would kinda be complicated to have, so even if we can get it simplified enough to allow for the mobile app to work I would be ok with that.

Any idea's or thoughts from others on how to Configure application Kill Switching to keep those silly games from trying to Dig up an internet Connection?

    Edit:
Here are the bullet points for those that don't read follow-up messages.

Internet Kill Switch - Toggle switch to allow for the ability to play your game with the trainer in an offline status with out having to yank the ethernet cable from the wall.

Some folks have to have some internet connection to play the game; for a large chunks of games I have played that require an internet connection just to start the game title best example of this would be (Red Dead Redemption 2: Story Mode) (Far Cry 5) Some times folks will Join in on COOP so this allows you to play a game in Pure Solo mode.

I'm going to defer to @0x90 since he would be the one adding the programming for this functionality.

    lol Good point.

Most of what I looked for when I first made the original thread it was a place holder for all the research and potential input on how to make it function on an advance level vs Simplified.

But looking over everything Simplified would be straight up kill the Adaptor.

But I would like to see if its possible to have it track the applications Network Adaptor Access and kill that way too.

But here is a reference point I found recently: Link www.tomsguide.com/how-to/how-to-create-a-kill-switch-in-windows

@JackDaniels would you mind outlining the basic premise of what you are suggesting? After reading your OP, I feel like I walked into a conversation that was already in-progress and I think I am missing some intro explanation and summary.

I use a kill-switch with my VPN and very much like the feature. But I am a little lost as to why the Trainer Application needs one; though I am not averse to the idea at all.

My apologies I will revise it.

Yes this will be an optional feature of the AIO.

The original plan was to have an internet Kill switch to allow for those that are playing titles that require or attempt always online to have the functionality to make use of an internet Kill switch to make sure once you access the game you will not have to worry about any Network connections or random Online events suddenly Cropping up.

I think there have been enough reports of folks asking if something will flag them for using trainers while they play a game and this would just be an added option to help put that to rest.

But essentially I wanted to make sure if we could even make it more advanced we could have kill the network connection of the game only. And still allow for functionality of the Mobile app while playing with the Kill Switch enabled.

I have a literal, physical switch on my desk that I use for this purpose.

It's actually meant to allow you to connect one computer to two networks, but I just don't have anything connected to the second port.

For games like Ghost Recon Wildlands, I would start the trainer and let it authenticate, then flip the switch and launch the game in offline mode.

It's an ugly beige box, but it was cheap and has done the job for years.

    Similar to this one:

    www.amazon.com/CablesOnline-Rotary-Manual-Switch-SB-034/dp/B00EBSR7CQ/

...but I don't mean to derail the (interesting) discussion about adding a cool feature to the AIO. Carry on!
