Some trainers have date, not version #? on Feedback, Complaints or Problems Message Board - Page 1

Why is this? For when I need to use a specific version of a game, it makes it really hard to identify which one is for my game. Most of the games I've needed a certain trainer for, have the version number on the title screen or somewhere else. I don't mind a bit of trial and error, but when a trainer has a couple of dozen versions...

Just use the latest trainer uploaded and should be good.

Even when run on a lower version number? I've often had the latest trainer not work on me because the version I'm running is too old. Also, if the latest trainer is meant to work most of the time, I'm unsure as to why different version trainers are offered in the first place.

The real question is why your legally purchased version of the game is not the latest version?
