I may have missed an announcement or I'm doing something wrong but why can I not see the NFO files for any trainers lately? I try clicking it from the trainer manager on the trainer's site and nothing loads anymore.

Are we still making them for each trainer or am I missing something right in front of my face?

You can get them via the normal browser. I believe because with the TM is not really a proper browser and it cant open another tab to pull the info on.

They are also included inside of each trainer zip so if you just download the trainer you can see them. Also, they are all included in the official trainer thread for every game.

Looks like I had "Do not extract the TXT files" enabled in the TM options. I think that might solve the problem.

And just for reference, the TM used to display them no problem when clicking it so that's why it was noticeable to me that it doesn't anymore. Must be a recent change to it within the last few months.

    Thanks for the quick replies.

You can find the readme also within the trainer itself where you also have the option to open it in external editor. Reason for TM to skip extracting them by default is that if you have all trainers in the same folders the readme files could get overwritten as they don't have unique names like the trainers I believe.

I'm fine with this. Having the readme inside the trainer is convenient, and cuts down on the external files. Having individually named readmes for every trainer would practically double the number of files within the trainer directory.
