I get granite 600000 error when I try to. I recall this being a problem when importing saves in previous games, all the way back to Primal.

You need to change the config file too. After you copy the savegame to your savegame folder you need to go to documents (C:\Users\\Documents\My Games\Far Cry 6) and edit the file to correspond to your new save game file.
