Why does the trainer use nearly 55% of gpu?

It's likely that something else has attached itself to the trainer that is using the GPU.

Turn off variable refresh rate (Gsync etc) for the trainer in your graphic card driver settings or in Windows.

Hey, variable refresh rate is off in my windows settings. Do I really have to turn off G-sync to use the trainers here ?

Also I've only used 4 trainers so far and it seems that I only have this issue with the Civilization 6 trainer and not the others.

Every trainer is unique and uses different methods, even though they "look" the same or similar.
