Virus databases change from moment to moment and the scan/detection methods change often as well, there is absolutely no way to know what will trigger it and what won't at any given time. It's bad enough that the games updates keep breaking trainers, they are not going to update a working trainer just because an AV flags a false positive. A trainer works pretty much the same way as a virus, by hooking to a process and injecting new information into that process. Where a trainer will give you something like extra gold, a virus could tell it to format your hard drive. It's that method of attaching that is being detected. What will work fine with no detection today may be flagged tomorrow. That is the exact reason an exclusion list is built into every AV software.

Nobody is asking for a future proof trainer. What works today might not work tomorow. But we are talking about trainers that do not work from day one. That I find difficult to accept.

edit: using the exclusion option does indeed prevent Windows from deleting the trainer. But you still need the other options of disabling real time and cloud protection. Each time.
If you think that is acceptable, than we have different views on what is an acceptable product.

I have all options of Defender on and all my trainers in the folder(s) I set to exclude run just fine, I test multiple trainers daily and only ever need the exclusion.

Real-time is ON
Cloud protection is ON
Auto sample is ON
Tamper protection is ON
even Controlled folder access is ON

Trainers are fully tested by the programmers before they are posted, it's a very rare occasion that a trainer does not work as intended upon posting, they are very busy and still human and sometimes a minor mistake will slip through be it a typo in the code or the wrong file sent in, but they are usually quickly rectified. However false positives and security software issues are out of their control and is up to the user to correct, there is no way to know every piece of software used and how they are configured for every individual user who downloads the trainers. All we can do as users is just keep submitting the files to the software makers and tell them it's flagging a safe file, until they add it to their database as safe and wont trigger it anymore.

Ask any longtime trainer user and they will tell you this is pretty much the norm, and has been like this for a longtime and will probably continue as nothing is a better marketing tool and scare tactic to buy their security software or subscribe to their service as a false positive.

I believe you. I use trainers of this site regularly, and I am mostly satisfied. Just not in this case.
I will leave it to that.

I have requested an update for this trainer. That said, I am curious as to whether anyone else has found that the edit options for credits won't work for the Steam iteration. All other options on the first tab (1 through 4) work great. Thanks.

Has changed, so read carefully! To use the Credits option, you will now need to enter your Epic acount NickName into the Editor where it says:

Enter Player Nickname

You will see that the name, Name, is already there. Enter your Epic Nickname then press TAB to lock it in. The trainer will shorten it to the first 4 letters. You can then go back to the game, click COLLECTION, then press ESC to get back to the main menu, and you will see that your credits will fill into the space. You can then edit the Credits to the value you want.

Your nickname is the name shown right above the Credits value.

If they still don't work it may be due the the game patch on OCT 18th

Thanks for replying. I contributed to the Kickstart campaign the first day it was made available. Also, the "nickname" requirement is no longer necessary; Caliber stated this on the first page of this thread. Nevertheless, considering the current circumstances, I will wait until a review of this trainer can be made. Again, thank you.
