Windows Defender has never flagged one of your trainers before this one and I've been a member since you started this site.
Ever since I installed the trainer this morning, Windows Defender has been stopping a
program called "Trojan;Win32/DSSDetection" from running every 15 minutes. I was at work so just got the WD message.

Edit: The outdated trainer doesn't get flagged by WD.

Please disable/uninstall all antivirus, firewall and other security software including browser addons and extensions. Right click "Run as Administrator" on trainer and game. Please note that some security products may still block access to trainer injection even when disabled and must be completely uninstalled. If this is the case, please contact the product vendor for instruction on the proper way to prevent the trainers from being blocked by their software or find a better alternative.

Extract trainer and make sure trainer/launcher/editor is in a folder excluded from virus scans. Empty quarantine folder if needed or set anything trainer related (paths and EXE's) to ALLOW. Disable any Live/Active/Real-Time tools which may trigger false positives in security software that may terminate the game/trainer when it's activated or options used.

may need to be added to exclusions as well. Click and select "Run as Administrator", read the instructions and try again.

Not sure why trainer says it fails due to a error with units, when its at menu, now trainer wont function with the game.

Please delete the trainer, custom keys, debug folder where the trainer resides and all files in

C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Local\Temp
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\Cheathappens\Work
C:\Users\USERNAMEHERE\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\0x90
C:\ProgramData\CheatHappens

Reboot PC to clear excess memory, get a fresh copy of latest trainer and extract it. Run trainer as admin, read the instructions and try again. At times, a new game may be needed to resolve failed options if the data in your save file was altered. Use on a new game and test the option. If it now works, quit to main menu and load your save and try it again. May also need to run the game without the trainer first and play a bit so the save file gets updated to use possible new values. This typically will resolve the issue.

I did all this before installing this version of the trainer. You posted these instructions in an earlier post. I've never had a problem with any of your prior trainers. They've all worked perfectly.

Disable cloud saves as they may upload the altered data from the trainer and stop the options from working in future plays as the game/trainer may still think they are active or have a different address resulting in errors. Play the game normally without a trainer attached so the game has a chance to use any new values or addresses from a recent patch and then re-save to update those addresses/values. Close the game and relaunch it with the trainer and try again.

Or, try trainer with a new fresh game to see if the options are working with that. If they are then load save and try again. If working on a new game but not your save then refer to the "NO TRAINER" method above.

Just want to add that the current trainer has been working just fine for me, despite the fact that the game patched recently, so your issue is not the trainer being out of date.

I had the same issue on the last trainer version.
I tried reinstalling game, following all steps to remove CH temp files etc (mentioned by CyPHeR369) but nothing worked.

Finally I decided to delete everything in the "My Documents\Humankind" folder and it worked. Keep in mind, you may want to backup your saves because they are also located there.

Hopefully that works for you as I was having the same issue.
Sounds like this game was coded VERY oddly with all the issues this trainer has had.
I can't even imagine how annoying this is for the trainer developers!!! Gotta love CH!!!
