The hardest beasty to find in FF2 is the Iron Giant, it's a super rare fight in the last dungeon. You basically spend hours fighting random battles to get one of these to show up, then you have to kill it before it runs away.

I used CoSMOS to do an always battle on step cheat...I got the idea from the no battles on map cheat option.

First wander around until you get into a random fight and win it, don't move your character at this point.

In CoSMOS do a Int32 search for 0, it will take a good time...just let the game sit, you can pause the process to speed it up but I got crashes when I did that.

After it finds all the 0s, do a search for Smaller than 10, this should trim the returns a lot.

Then move 1 block, and search for Increased, then search for Unchanged a few times, repeat. Keep track of how many times you move...
Once you are down to under 20 returns you can move one last time and see which number divides to zero by the number of moves.

Set that number to 255 and every step will get you a battle.

Set it to zero and it will prevent any random battles (Like the option in the trainer) it won't stop scripted battles or treasure guardian battles.

    FF1, every step is a 5 increase
FF2, every step is 4-8 increase, they did that because they wanted some areas to be more 'deadly' for random battles
I've not gotten to FF3 yet
