Capcom broke the game after the update, if you bought the winter expansion you just can't play it because it crashes. for now it can only be played if you have not bought the expansion (I was able to verify it by trying both versions)

My guess is all the intrusive anticheats is causing problems.

In my experience trying the game without the dlc even the game crashes. In my opinion, I think it's best to wait for the dlc to be released and the game to be updated to see what happens with the trainer

I know there is no ETA on an update for the trainer for the full game, but will there be a trainer for the new demo?

For those who say game crashes with trainer on here and there, there is a reason.
And I have no solution at the moment. Trainer is up to date and has anticheats. Maybe there is more scanners. I tried to defeat them all. I have no other suggestions. Tell the developers you don't want anticheats and scanners so you can mod your games. Probably this is happening to the developer of the VR mods too. Stupid thing for them to do. We LOVE that companies have DRM, HATE when they do stupid stuff like this to SP games that people like to mod. Probably this issue will persist in the release of the DLC this month..

Attaching the trainer will invariably cause a crash even if no options are enabled. If you want to use it, then find a typewriter and resign yourself to using things like easy crafting and inventory edits, then restart the game.

Whatever they're using to **** up RE8 is almost certainly the same garbage bull**** they're using to "protect" their latest pre-failed async multiplayer game RE:Verse.

I guess we'll have to wait for the multiplayer to die, which usually happens a month after being released in the resident evil saga. What hallucinogenic substances do those from Capcom use to continue insisting on Multiplayer modes, leaving so many stories and characters from the saga forgotten?
