For something that started in 90 the series has withstood the test of time, best series ever. The best games in that series as far as I'm concerned are Wing Commander 1,2,3,4 and Prophecy. I also read and liked the novel adaptions of of Wing Commander 3 and 4. and here it is a little over 30 years later and I'm still playing them.

I'm a die hard fan of oldies whether if it's games, music, movies etc... I can almost say I'm addicted to nostalgy.
The problem is I never played this series so there won't be much of a nostalgy feel to it except from the graphics and sounds of that era.
I own the whole series via GOG, would you say these games can be enjoyable even for today's standards to someone who never played them?

I don't know if people born years after the release of Wing Commander. I really like them and the only thing I can say is that the games are as good now as they were in the 90s when the games were first released. Lets see if any of the games made in the last twenty years are still being played in another thirty years.

Wing Commander is Love. Plane as. I dont think anyone years after its release would get into it. I could certainly go back and be yay! Then when I think of it I mean all my awesome times was back then. Yeah we got great looking games etc now. But Something back then for me was this is Peak this ins Pinicale.

I, too, loved Wing Commander. 1 and 2 to be specific. The rest went decidedly downhill afterwards.

For me, though, the pinnacle was Privateer. Good thing we can play Privateer, today, on modern machines in Gemini Gold.
