No script extenders means very limited MOD support, so I think I'm gonna stay with Steam.

I dunno about that, all the mods and all that junk prob won't work, because microsoft are ****s and encrypt the game folder, makes it impossible for you to access the directory. That still really bugs me, locking me out of my own file system is just so.. ****ed up. Steam is just 100x superior to gamepass in terms of just general interface... but if xbox is a huge part of your enjoyment, like gamer score and all that I guess I kinda get it. I like to play with mods a lot and trainers, and they're both way harder to do on gamepass.

So I just downloaded Gears Of War 4 from the Microsoft store. You are right. I too couldn't access the folder. It's encrypted but maybe there's a way for that. I was checking on security settings and I guess it's for advanced users to manipulate the settings. Anyone know how to set to full control?

Unfortunately you would have to crack the encryption to access those files I believe, it wouldn't be within your settings because the encryption is to keep us from tampering. I do like the idea of GamePass but mods are too important to me to switch from Steam. 😟

If they add a Mod manager to it that would manage mods from games you own on gamepass that would be interesting. Mod manager has a built-in script system. also its very easy to manage, install and add without the use of scripting from gamepass, if they did add it you would have to download the mod manager directly from gamepass.

Fallout 3 or 4 i think have a mod manager because of the same incident that scripting was limited to those games.

nexusmods is where you would download mods for fallout 3-4 mods
