Does anyone know if you're able to play the game with Steam friends yet when you've been flagged (obviously without the trainer loaded at the time)?
Yes, I've been able to do so without any issues.
Other than the general game issues that everyone suffers from.
Do everything just like you would when first getting the trainer, but use the launcher from the latest one instead.
I've tried everything and the new trainer will not run. The old trainer runs but of course won't work because the game is version 1.02. I don't understand why this one game is giving me such a hard time. I literally have dozens of trainers and they all work except this new version.
You're not alone. Others are having this issue, myself included. Last one worked great but this version won't open. You're not doing anything wrong, all my other trains work besides this one too.
Despite following these instructions, the game will not start.
Removing the new eac file from CH, allowing Steam to re-aquire the original, the infinite loop now re-occurs with the default, game, as it did when trying to use with the trainer (unactivated) is running in the background.
The game ran fine prior to trying to use the trainer, but now, when attempting to start from Steam, choosing either DX11 or DX12, I still get a dialog asking me if I chose the -force direct x command line. No matter whether I choose OK or CANCEL on the dialog, it repeats and compounds as if it didn't read my response with -force direct x command line -force direct x command line.
If I cancel the game lauch from Steam and try using the game executable, the same thing occurs, just the message is related to EAC instead of Direct X.
My main point here, is that I am never able to get into the game, whether the trainer is running (unactivated) in the background or not now.
I'm not having a go at anyone, and as frustrated as I am with the situation, I just want the specifics of this situation understood.

So if I understand, even with the normal anticheat and the game without any installations outside of the base game it did run? If thats the case, there may be something going on with your installation. Ive been seeing a lot of engine crashes as of yesterday, though maybe thats just on my system.
What I did was just replace the EAC and then run the game from steam, no extra arguments, nothing like that. Selected Directx 12 then activated the trainer as soon as the movie started playing (the one with the alien bird thing flying through the air).
Now with the error you are getting, I recommend completely uninstalling the game, delete its steam folder and then try installing it afterwards. (If you havent tried that yet, it may be worth a shot.) I think I understand whats going on, I just wish I had a more definitive answer to give you.

For good measure, I followed your method, but the result is the same.
When I run the game exe (From Madness folder) Steam gives an dialog "are you trying to add this command line to your game" which prompts the infinite loop to start, no matter if I choose Ok or Cancel to the Steam prompt. The loop just repeats this exact process with the Steam dialog.
The result is the same either running the CH EAC file or the original EAC file, just the Steam message varies.
I have re-installed the game 3 times now, deleting the Steam folder each time (The only thing left in it after uninstall is a file named steamappid)
Gonna re-install again. Will take about 1.5 hours.
Outside of that suggestion, I can't think of what it could be, I've always been more of a hardware person than a software. This issue sounds infuriating, and at this point. I'd consider trying to get in touch with anyone who can help you troubleshoot the software issues.
I'd recommend someone at "People Can Fly" if I could or knew anyone there, but unfortunately I don't. The last time I contacted a company about software issues through their customer service was a very very long time ago. And I'm not sure Square Enix customer support would live up to the standards I'd expect. However it *may* be worth a shot. Maybe they could give some insight or suggestions. And its possible they could be aware of others who experienced this issue and have a workaround. Given how I've heard EAC can go mucking about in other files, (IIRC) perhaps it did and corrupted something and now its stuck in a loop for that specific game.
Caveat being don't mention this is because you were running a separate installation of anti cheat to allow a trainer to tweak the game.
Anyway, I truly hope that this issue is resolved for you, I can understand it must be frustrating beyond measure to have a game that worked and no suddenly no matter what you do, doesnt. I'd speculate, but in truth would be doing nothing but tossing everything but the kitchen sink to explain this issue.
Finally got to the bottom of my issue.
Apparently, I am getting a very rare Steam bug/glitch which has nothing to do with EAC or Outriders directly. The devs of Insurgency were able to shed light on it. Although Valve has been informed of the glitch, nothing has been done to fix it, because they don't really know what causes it.
So, I solved my problem by buying it from Epic.
Game runs percetly fine.
Assume the trainer does too. I will update this post if I have any issue. Thanks to those who tried to help. In particular, quelthalas1 and Spawn.

You're not alone. Others are having this issue, myself included. Last one worked great but this version won't open. You're not doing anything wrong, all my other trains work besides this one too.
What we need to do is a file update request from the trainer main page. Right now as far as these guys are concerned there's only been 3 requests for the trainer being updated. If you're experiencing this issue like a lot of people seem to be then please do the file update request so they can see there's an issue and fix it.

No, they're not flagged. I just join them through the steam invites or the ingame system, and vice versa.
I haven't fully tried normal matchmaking though, as I have no interest playing with people outside my friend circle.
I can start the matchmaking process just fine, but I aborted it the time I tried it as it's too broad. like for expeditions, there's no specific expedition to choose, or even a tier...
