I found a way around it!
If you ever have used the max item settings, in the earlier version of the trainer, or have 9999 items in your inventory.
The fix is:
Go into your inventory and set everything to 1 with the trainer. Then you can edit your inventory, using the inventory edit, like 100 or 1. Then you can pick up keys again
How do you do this? i canty find anywhere in trainer that allowed me to set numbers.
Make sure you got the newest trainer.
You can do it either by:
Trainer:
Set Inventory Item to 9999
Set Inventory Item to 100
Set Inventory Item to 1
Or
Editor -> Mouse Over Inventory Item and set up amount you want yourself.

i have the last trainer but i dont have any option to set numbers on item. just on or off and in editor its only for progression. and i dont have any option for mouse over item eather.

Did all this and still not able to pick up keys 😩
I set everything to 1. Silver, items. Everything.
BUT
I had to do it a few times before it actually worked again.
!!So important!!
Save your game right before you pick up a key.
Set everything to 1. Try pick it up. If it doesn't. Reload your save game, and repeat.
That's how i got it to work again.
ANOTHER IMPORTANT STEP!
When pick up key succeeds. SAVE YOUR GAME!
Problem is some keys works others dont...
