    Hello,

I wanted to get feedback from the community or the devs on how to resolve a common problem I am having with some older trainers. For the most part the new trainers are working great. But some older trainers like MGS 5 or DMC 5 etc I cannot start unless I manually deactivate my antivirus software.

I currently have Bitdefender total security and I have to deactivate the following just to allow windows to start the trainers under administrative mode:

    Firewall
    Advanced threat defense
    Antivirus

Once I deactivate these features, I can run my trainer and then reactivate my antivirus software. I tried adding the trainers to the safelist/exceptions folder, but it’s not having any effect. I would like to know if anyone have any feedback on how to resolve this issue, so I don’t have to take so many steps each time I want to use my trainers.

    Thanks

Get a better security product. BitDefender is probably the worst when it comes to trainers.

Unfortunately that is not an option for me right now. I'm looking for more effective solutions because there is a way to make it work however it requires excessive effort on my part. It's possible that other users have experienced a similar situation and I'm trying to reach out to those people to see if they can share their solutions in this post.

Look up how to disable ADVANCED THREAT and live/active/real time scanners, or whatever bitdefender calls it's scanners now.

    Thanks CyPHeR369,

Ill check out this feature more in depth. Once I figure out what is causing the issue, ill post it here so others can benefit from my research.

I just made a tutorial video about it recently: Link

Watch the 1st video which is for the 2020 version of the software, as you can see no matter what you'll do (folder exclusion, file exclusion) it won't help, Bitdefender is a very aggressive and inefficient software imo so you'll have to disable real time protection all together in order to run some trainers.
