After changing the item stack, drag-move the item again, except this time tap the right mouse button WHILE dragging.

This drops one unit from the stack into the current square, and should update the number ingame.

1 update every week for the trainer would be totally enough as I am sure this game will patch a lot in the coming weeks/month, but it would be great if you don't put it on hold.

Tested, still working fine.
Easy Crafting (NumPad 5) works perfectly on the Workbench, Refinery, and Smelter/Forge, but not for the Cooking Stove. I'm fine with this.
