Sorry if this has been asked before, but does the trainer for Halo 3 from the Master Chief Collection need an update maybe?
After the latest Steam game update for Halo 4, I get an activation error from the trainer and it doesn't work anymore..(screenshot attached).
Any ideas other than waiting for a new trainer version?
I've tried a bunch of things, but nothing worked..
So, I'm open to suggestions.

I totally agree.
Couldn't get this trainer to work. So far the ones for Halo 1, ODST have worked no problem...well except for grenades...but I can live without that. But this one gives me this error:
13:26:37: Successfully attached to MCC-Win64-Shipping
13:26:37: Collect Player, Script error in line 9: Cannot find aob for 'Collect_Player'
I have the launcher installed that was included, and I tried running using the right click on play and selecting to play without anticheat active as instructed. Alt tabbed out of game and clicked on the link for it to run and alt tabbed back in as well. Antivirus/firewall was disabled.

Likely every game or most of them were borked when this latest season or whatever for halo 3 released, which was like a 25GB patch. You will have to request update for Halo 3 if it's truly been broken by this massive patch.
I may actually retire this entire series as each major patch, they basically recompile/reprogram ALL 6 games, and the offsets and registers completely change, forcing a complete rewrite of the entire trainers from scratch. I've done it 3 may 4 times now. I won't be doing it again.

I see. I see where this has been talked about before. I should have read the comments so I could have avoided wasting my money. I just bought the collection yesterday, only for the trainers so I could play around. (I already have the games on the 360.) Just my luck, as I already passed the 2 hour refund mark.
But I totally understand, it is a ridiculous method they are doing, probably just to be an ass to modders and cheat users. Thanks for the update, but, I probably will not request an update. No point in prolonging the inevitable.
As always, thanks for the hard work, you all make games I wouldn't like otherwise, enjoyable for me.
I do not think this was intentional as they have a specific boot to allow modders/trainer users to play this game without interacting with regular players. but with a huge update like this including new maps, new interactions and the ability to play with xbox users. the cross platform play was definitely the reason why all of it changed. I am sure that future updates wont change things around as much.
