what works with the trainer I know its outdated but I'm wondering if there is something that works

Heya! Senior QA for Cepheus Protocol here (you can verify on their Discord).

The dev team is still hard at work and will be working on factions soon, so I still don't recommend updating the trainer for the game as many things are likely to change before long. However, as mentioned in my last message, you can definitely do plenty with just CoSMOS. All you need to do is change your money, DNA to get the shredder rounds for patient zero, and doctrine XP (which you can see the number of by mousing over the XP bar) and you'll be plenty good.

Also, at the time of this message, if you want things a lot easier just enable the factions as they have a tendacy to steamroll infected lieutenants that happen to start near them. I also suggest you take a look at custom diffucilty as you can adjust infected spawn rates, starting cash, health of juggernauts and leviathans, etc.

...and if you want something that's broken at the moment you can repeatedly spawn in minigunners (despite the message saying there's a limit of 1. Just wait for the cooldown). Just stick 4 of them on a Sparrow and that'll mow down nearby enemies like crazy.
