its unfortunate it went back to white so I have to use addon to make site black again but I do think dashboard is a little small even when extended. I also used to have a new posts quick button on the my friends, summary etc. I'm a little sad its gone since I used that the most.

Use the Bookmarks module to create links to wherever you want.
I can but why waste a bookmark on something I used to have and used so much, I just personally feel its an oversight to remove, site summary I have never used in my life, my friends button what is the goal there, you have my friends list in the dashboard and a view all friends button
Well, when you design your own site you can make it any way you want. We may tweak it after a few days of feedback.
I just think it should be more customizable to the individual and their needs
there are browser addons out there to change the white to black. use that if you have a medical issue or don't like the bright white.
I have that addon and I gave it to Servius, but it flashes white on page load and such addons are far from perfect because you can't one shoe fits all so would have to be specifically customized for the site to be any good, at that point I may as well make my own css for cheathappens and I just think its a little unreasonable and a lot more work when you don't have the actual site code so.

And YES... I did try Dark mode extension but It makes all letters invisible on white background

The only way for you is to use a browser which supports AddOns/Extensions and to use something like "Stylem", "Stylus" or "Stylish" to rewrite the CSS File. A simple start would look like this:

No flash for me or issues with wiritng the dark mode estension works fine for me I can read properly with out squinting badly now.
