Nope. Unlimited Armor function doesn't work regardless whether it's front or rear armor and this is before I realized that I haven't bought the new DLC. After buying the DLC, it remains the same. Unlimited Armor is still borked. That can only mean that the update to the base game without including the DLC affected the part which the Unlimited Armor function previously controlled.

Yes, and you just confirmed, that DLC is not the problem.
Hi there. Trainer Monkey here. i play this game frequently, so im familiar with some of the issues you are reporting about unlimited armor. as the readme states, your armor will take damage, but then regenerates instantly. unfortunately, if you take more damage than you have armor, there are some problems. the easy way around this is one of the other options in the trainer "unlimited tonnage in bay and combat", aka numpad 7. with this option enabled, go into the mech bay, and max out your mechs armor and structure, then try again. now, with both these options enabled, your pilots may sustain *some* damage, but 95% of it is just superficial, and your pilots will still be available immediately for the next mission. try those 2 options, and let me know what you find out, and ill test it again.
I tried with max armor (there's no changing the internal structure) on a Victor (not the best Assault 'Mech in the game, but an assault mech nonetheless, so the problem would only be worse with lighter 'Mechs) and lost both arms and a torso.
