Halo: The Master Chief Collection Message Board  

The trainer only seems to be working for the Halo: Reach campaign (STEAM). For all the others, it returns this error and seems to be looking for the haloreach.dll despite being loaded into other campaigns.

21:20:55: Collect Sabre, Script error in line 7: The module name 'haloreach.dll' does not exist!

FWIW I've of course disable the anti cheat and waited until the character has loaded and can move around in each of the other campaigns before activating the trainer.

I've also tried loading the trainer at the main menu. In this case the trainer activates as normal, but once you try to use one of the options in the game you get an error like this:

Any ideas? Given the update date, is this a PEBKAC issue on my end or was something just overlooked?

@dracoda - you need to get a different trainer for each game in the MCE, even though each is just named 'Halo Master Chief Collection Trainer.exe'

From the main trainer page, click the thing that says 'show more trainers' then scroll all the way down to the one for the specific game you want.

Unfortunately it just seems to report a similar issue:

Collect Player, Script error in line 12: The module name 'halo2.dll' does not exist!

Thank you for pointing out how they are organized. I saw them but the dates were old they all come up as having an update when opened (the only updated trainer is the one at the top). No worries though, I'll skip the trainer on these and that'll solve the problem.

so that error message says you are using the halo 2 trainer for the game, you will need to make sure you are using the correct trainer for the game you want to play

Guys. the game loads and unloads each campaign via a .dll You need to NOT ACTIVATE the trainer until you are RUNNING THE CAMPAIGN AND INSIDE THE GAME MOVING AROUND. Make sure you are USING THE CORRECT TRAINER to match the campaign you are playing. If you leave that campaign and play another game (like moving from Halo 3 to Halo 4) then you will need to close the trainer, wait until you are IN THAT GAME, then RUN the appropriate trainer and only activate it when you are actually inside the game moving your character around.

Sorry the confusion but this is the only way to get it to work

Just got an update form Steam, and after trying to run the trainer I get this messaeg in red...

Trainer always reports a fail after F1.

Is it the trainer the update, or just re-boot?

Please use the update notification system to report a game patch, update or to report that the trainer may not be working with the latest version of the game. If 3 or more reports have been filed, consider BOOSTING the priority of this title for a faster turnaround on the updated trainer.
