I thought I would start a new topic about Easy Anti-Cheat. So we can talk about it specifically. I'm hoping more info will be provided by others on how it works. I've never used a game that had it. So I have some questions about it. When its active, does it protect all parts of the game or only the multiplayer. Can we cheat in the campaign and not get banned. Can we only cheat in the campaign with it disabled? Do campaign achievements get disabled when Easy Anti-Cheat is turned off?
Thanks for anyone who answers these questions. I was hoping to get some easy campaign achievements if possible. I did get all the achievements in the XBOX 360 version when it first came out. Didn't really feel like doing it all over again. But I may have to if I want those achievements again.
You can play without EAC enabled which allows the game files to be modded and makes it much easier to train. This option disables online multiplayer for the game and you will NOT get banned.
Using the normal version of Halo:MCC with EAC enabled will most likely cause a ban even with a singleplayer trainer.
In regards to achievements being disabled, you can just test it yourself as the first mission of Reach gives one not so far into the story. If you do not receive one then you know it gets disabled. There was no notification saying achievements would be disabled so I would say they aren't but it's best to test it yourself. I'm waiting for a trainer before I do my playthrough.
Unless I did something wrong when I started the level. I think the achievements might actually get disabled in the campaign with Easy Anti-Cheat turned off. I had played the first level on my XBOX One X and got the achievement for completing it. I then played the 2nd level ONI: Sword Base on my PC with Easy Anti-Cheat turned off and didn't get the achievement for completing it.
Well that's disappointing. Hopefully the CH guys can work around the EAC enabled one and make a trainer for that.
