I just tested it. It worked fine on my end, no freezes, every option worked.
I should have mentioned that it is random and may take up to 30 minutes or more. Also, it seems to happen more during a transition screen such as when the game takes control for a cut scene. Thanks for checking though.

try disabling "Use item gives Max" option
Thanks for the suggestion but I never use that option.
Still nothing, I even replayed a mission with John, and got myself arrested a couple times while going on a rampage at the same time, but nothing. I am sorry.
I know you mentioned that you cleared your temp files but could you please do it again?

Once done restart the PC. And please also try redownloading the trainer and if nothing works, try validating the files for the game, maybe something is wrong with the game files.
Thank you for your help. Either your suggestion or updating my graphics driver worked as I did both. Today I played for about 5 hours with no issues.
