Any other cheaters getting stuck in Pilgrim's Parish in the fight after the mandatory cut scene that happens when you walk far enough right on the map? I enter combat and it doesn't let me do anything. It doesn't freeze and it seems to register my commands, but nothing happens when it does. Just an infinite battle of waiting. I used CoSMOS to jack all my attributes up to a value of 50, but I'm not sure if I'm causing the problem or something else is. If anyone else experienced this and found a workaround, I'd be grateful for any help!

It is a known bug for the buttons to stop working. Try reloading the game and see if it helps.

I have had that problem throughout the game. I found that I could hit escape and "restart battle" to continue. Just starts the battle afresh.
