Same problem here with infinite hp. It does not work during battles.

I've been able to get infinite hp/mp by using Cosmos.

Its a simple Exact Value search. I'll give you some pointers with this one. It will most likely be less then ten values that you will have to freeze. Also do not go to an inn. In my experience it will freeze your game. There is one story spot where it will force you to go sleep at the inn (somewhat early in the game). To avoid the game freezing, I recommend that you save it just before the event and restart the game with nothing frozen. Good luck and happy hunting. 🙂
