For some reason, any recent released trainers, like Remnant and Gears 5, that I downloaded are not working. An error message that says: System.ArgumentException: Illegal characters in path. pops up every time I try to run these new trainers. I have no idea how to fix this problem.

Where is the trainer located? Does the path to the trainer contain any weird characters? Try placing it on your desktop or a root drive such as D:\ and run it from there.

Otherwise go to:

C:\Users\*your username*\AppData\Roaming\Cheat Happens\

backup its content then delete it and run the trainer. See if that helps.

The trainer works fine after I changed the file name I used to store my trainers to English. It is weird since only recent downloaded trainers have this kind of problem. But, thanks.

I was able to reproduce and it will be fixed in upcoming trainer/updates.
