Greatly appreciate the updated trainer!

We are being consumed by statism (state-ism). It is very unfortunate that our normalcy bias prevents us from being aware of this. Also, regardless of our level of awareness, the end of this process will be our enslavement to the state.

I'm playing the game with Xbox Game Pass Ultimate and was previously able to activate the trainer using the "start game while connected to internet then disconnect before activating trainer" method.

But I just updated the trainer and launcher and somehow, when I run the launcher, the message prompt that tells me to keep the launcher running and click ok upon exit doesn't pop up anymore. Once I click the prompt that says "Launch Gears 5 now then click ok once game starts" the launcher seems to just end.

Just to be clear, the steps i've taken to activate trainer are:
1. Launch trainer
2. start Gears 5 launcher
3. click ok to confirm that trainer is running already (prompt to launch gears 5 appears)
4. Launch Gears 5
5. Gets to main menu while online, then disables internet connection. confirmed connection to server lost
6. Clicks prompt to "launch gears 5 now then click ok once game starts"
Previously, the next prompt to keep the launcher active and start trainer works perfectly. Now, the launcher just disappears after step 6 and I can't start the trainer...

Edit: Never mind, I had to launch Gears 5 with internet disabled, then enable it to get to main menu, then disable it again to start trainer. For some reason that worked.

I think I'm just going to skip this game.

I'm getting to the age where I just want to play through a game with minimal frustration, just for the story and the environments, but Microsoft and The Coalition seem hellbent on making that not possible for me.

Having to to unplug my Internet to launch the game and then using a launcher for a trainer is just too much hassle.

Kudos to CH for doing the work you're doing, but shame on Microsoft and The Coalition for going out of their way to make their game a pain in the butt.

Hi There

Thanks for your post and different methods of activating the trainer. I've tried multiple ways but I kept getting Xbox Live asking me to connect to the internet in order to play the game (bear in mind that I've already did all the appropriate steps from the microsoft support page to enable this game to be play offline)

I can never get to the main menu as the xbox live pop-up stopping me from doing it... any advice?

You have to be OFFLINE before you start the game (like WiFi turned off - LAN cable unplugged).
-Run the trainer.
-Run the launcher (follow steps until it prompt game launch)
-Turn off WiFi/network cable.
-Launch Gears 5.
-Click Okay in Launcher.

The trainer should now activate with F1.

I can't get it to work since the last update the game has received (1.1.95.0). When I run the game, it informs me that I am not connected to the internet and forces me into an Xbox Live account.

Until now, I ran the game online until I reached the main menu, closed the game, started the trainer, started the launcher and ran the game again (the game no longer forced to be online) and activated the trainer and everything worked OK, but Now whenever I run the game it forces me to be online. I have the game purchased from the Microsoft Store and I also have the Xbox Game Pass. Help me please!!!

Hey mate, I've tried your method above and it works!

1. Launch the game with internet disabled
2. Enable the internet to get to the main menu or when prompted by xbox live
3. After logged-in / at the main menu, disable the internet.
4. Launch the "Gears of War Launcher" and then start the trainer
