    I hope you know that Metro Exodus in its current state is a crash fest. I personally had to do a number of things just to complete one playthrough. This was due to the numerous hard crashes! On a positive note, Deep Silver (the publisher) has said they are working on correcting these issues. And I really hope they will, because I want to do another playthrough of this otherwise great game.

    Dear Sveinung,

    thank you for your enquiry.

    In any case, please perform a clean reinstall of your video driver using the official site of the developer rather than letting Windows update it since lots of users reported that they have been able to resolve their issues following this advice.

    If you have GeForce Experience In-Game Overlay enabled and/or GeForce Experience Highlights enabled, please disable both features, since they seem to be causing a lot of trouble. Afterwards restart your computer and try launching ME again.

    If your PC is equipped with another dedicated (more powerful) Nvidia or ATI/AMD graphics device, you should perform the steps below to use the superior card:

    For an NVIDIA card, go to NVIDIA Control Panel -> Manage 3D settings. You should be able to select the NVIDIA card as the preferred device or create a profile for the game to use it.

    For an ATI/AMD card, go to Catalyst Control Center -> Power -> Switchable graphics. You should be able to select High Performance for the game - this should make it use the Radeon card.

    In addition, please make sure that Vsync is disabled and the priority in the task manager set to high, since some users reported that this fixed their issues.

    If you are using an MSI motherboard and the Nahimic Service (Nahimic audio software) is active, please deactivate it or uninstall it and install the original sound driver (e.g. Realtek). Based on feedback from some users, the Nahimic service can sometimes make the game crash or prevent it from starting correctly.

    Also, please try to reduce your GPU and CPU over-clocks.

    Should the problem still persist, please download and run our diagnostics tool "KMDiag" (approx. 400KB) which can be obtained here:

    Afterwards please send us back the compressed KMDiag report file created by our tool for an in-depth analysis of the problem.

    Good information, thanks for posting! I finished the main story last night in an approx. 6 hour session and fortunately had no crashes even with GFE activated though I've heard some have had problems with it. Are you running single or dual GPUs and NV or AMD?

    So, have you done some or all of these suggestions and did any of them correct your problems? One other thing I had previously heard and always used was to always disable the Ammo option on the trainer before doing any customizing or upgrading of shotguns on the workbench. I started doing that in the previous Metro games. Oddly enough, I don't recall having any crashes in Exodus.

    Hi, I'd like to know if there is still working trainer for metro exodus windows store version? It's still listed on gamepass trainers but when I try to download, it is listed under older versions and when proceeding to download it gives me error that file has been removed.
