the trainer for east upgrading and trade items option give all key items, wich could result in bugged missions, the doctor specialist and joseph seed were bugged since you already had the key items, its best to leave it off and get ethenol the normal way.

When I try to start the trainer I get the trainer banner but nothing else, is anyone else having this issue?

Did that, the mission is still bugged. Tried to close the trainer completely and still nothing. Closed down the game and launched it without the trainer, still bugged. I got a feeling that I have to restart my game save ...
