well at first i thought it was just a coincidence that it happened to two australians but three? did we do the same thing at the same time or something?
Maybe your ISP is blocking the connection for whatever reason. Try connecting to a U.S. VPN and trying it.
my connection to the ch server just died as i started a new post and that's been happening the last 7ish hours now. so its only effecting the new trainers for me. the really old trainers start up instantly and the older train take a but but they load. but all the new trainers either crash at start up "not responding" or they can't connect to the ch website. i'm using Win 10 with Norton Antivirus, i didn't get an os update or anything when i started the pc up this morning. and the 3 of us who have it are all in Australia.
Looks to me like something is blocking it. I rebooted the server when you were trying to make your post just in case that was the issue. So far the people reporting issues seem to be using some form of Norton so I would start there.
