X4: Foundations Message Board  

Hi, so I'm struggling to figure out how to create mods for my ships in this game. I have completed all the research, I have all the required materials for the mods but when I fly to the Shipyard and go to the Workbench to create the mods, it's completely empty. I'm wondering if I have messed anything up by using the save game editor and if I can rectify this by adding in the blueprint manually. If I can can someone give me a list of all the items I need to add in to be able to create the mods?

If your in a Small or Medium ship go to a Wharf, Large or XLarge go to shipyard, the crafting items for them drop off xenon or khaak quite commonly, i haven't really shot other factions to find out if they drop any yet

Yea I've taken my Frigate (Medium Ship) to both a Shipyard and a Wharf and the options to add modifications just aren't there.

Oh yea and I was about to add in 1000 of each crafting component into my inventory so I already have all the materials I need for all the mods.

Once you have crafted some mods on your ship, is it all possible to edit the values in the save editior?
