Somehow on my pc (windows 10 64 bits), notepad++ choked on scrolling thru the save file with the scrollbar on the right side of notepad++ window, no matter what i tried, so i searched for a better editor and found this, so if you guys have also a problem, or like a better editor try this Free one: code.visualstudio.com

Unfortunately the open in external does not work, small window opens with waiting... click ok... something loading... nothing happens

It opens the raw savegame in external editor. The raw savegame is >100mb which will break most editors and those who can handle it, will have a long loading time. Its likely that you don't have notepad++ (and registered it to open *.xml files).

Anyway with upcoming update I've added an internal editor which takes a few seconds only to open it and scrolling / searching is smooth. This way you don't have to rely on other software.

Regarding relationships I couldn't fix this yet. It appears some relationships are spread across the savegame and there are many modifiers or temporarily bonuses.

thx for the new options, curious about player skills, i see nothing ingame that shows your player skills, what are they, and where are they?

When you load the savegame in the editor you will see them. On my savegame its morale, management, piloting, boarding etc. And I have no idea where they are ingame as I don't play the game myself but they are in stored in player structure so I guess the game needs them for something. Maybe for some internal calculation. NPCs have some of the skills as well.

somehow the latest +5 editor trainer does not start, it shows the small cheathappens banner, then closes without showing the trainer window, every other trainer that i use works normally, i am om windows 10 64 bits
