I tried that and the option still do not work.

Side issues my ship will be destroyed in two shots from the enemy ships regardless of the number of crew showing, secondly the unlimited crew option effects the enemy ships as well.

Don't have the game to test, notes say, while in combat, are you trying them actually in combat or leaving them on before that? Perhaps someone with the game could help us out here

I turn on option 6 in combat, which is when the enemy ship's crew become unlimited. if I turn the option off their crew returns to normal levels, and my ship explodes in two hits.

option 8 does nothing.

I agree. Option 8 appears to do nothing. The trainer for this part used to work in previous versions of the game but apparently something has changed with this latest version of the game that causes Option 8 to do nothing.

I am finding that the 'Unlimited Ship Combat Crew' function is malfunctioning... specifically, it is setting that true for the enemy ship, as well as mine!! If I turn Numpad-6 off, I can damage the enemy ship, but he can damage mine as well... If I turn it on, I cannot be damaged, but he can't either.
Also, Numpad-8 does not drain his crew count, as it did before; it just makes that indicator flash green, then back to red.
None of these issues existed when I previously played the game, a few months ago; your trainer was working fine.

Can anyone comment on whether this problem still exists with the GOG version of the game??

Okay, as of 04/05/20, V1.43.77154 of the trainer appears to work fine with the current Steam version of this game. Both Numpad-8 and Numpad-6 work consistently and repeatably!!

Has anyone had problems with this trainer after installing the Earth Rising expansion?
I just installed the Earth Rising Expansion and now nothing in the trainer works. It starts normally, and responds correctly on starting different options, but nothing works.
The expansion doesn't change the version number, just has a different starting splash screen.
