Do games with this option enabled just skip a lot of frames or something? Have always wondered how you can run the game 4x faster without having 4x the cpu and gpu power (assuming said game is already pushing yours to the ma)
this is doubtful.. the process going on is to return a higher value than normal from the api call to the kernel timer. Basically you are tricking the game into thinking more time has passed, so many games which rely on the kernel clock will interpolate and move you further, etc.
